Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Brooklyn Mango
With Brooklyn Mango, Dr. Underground wanted to create a plant with an intense mango aroma and compact buds. To do so, the breeder combined two selected plants: an Ed Rosenthal Super Bud, which according to the breeder comes from original Sensi Seeds seed stock and was chosen for its strong pineapple flavour, and a New York City Diesel by Soma Seeds with a powerful, variable diesel and mango scent. According to the manufacturer, the same Super Bud plant was also used for the high-yielding strain King Kong. The result is a feminised, photoperiod hybrid with dense resin production. The breeder does not state Indica and Sativa shares or THC and CBD values; it gives the potency as high. Other strains from its catalogue are Melon Gum and Godzilla Glue.

Growing Brooklyn Mango: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
In the grow room, Brooklyn Mango flowers for 8 to 9 weeks and forms compact, dense, resin-coated buds. Dr. Underground states 500 to 700 g/m², with the upper values, according to the breeder, being achieved with SOG or SCROG and in hydroponic or aeroponic systems; in traditional cultivation, too, the strain delivers excellent results according to its information. According to the breeder, advanced growers can train the plant into a bush and work with nets to increase the yield. For beginners, the breeder calls the strain an excellent choice because of its ease of care. It does not give a plant height in centimetres. A carbon filter makes sense for the strong mango-diesel aroma. The tips for beginners in the Growpedia offer an overview for getting started.
Outdoor Growing
Outside, care is called for when choosing the spot: according to Dr. Underground, Brooklyn Mango can grow strongly both vertically and horizontally outdoors and reach a size that can hardly be controlled. So allow for plenty of spacing or limit the growth through timely training. Harvest falls in early to mid-October. As the outdoor yield, the breeder states 800 to 1,000 g, depending on the growing method. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Brooklyn Mango
The aroma is the reason this strain exists: Dr. Underground describes an interplay of tropical mango, lemon and pineapple with a diesel-like touch that heightens the complexity. In the scent, mango and tropical notes are to the fore, accompanied by a touch of diesel. The manufacturer does not name a lab terpene profile or individual terpenes. It gives the effect as relaxing, euphoric and calming, and the potency as high. The strain description does not contain a THC value in per cent, so the strength cannot be classified precisely. Especially if you have little experience with strong strains, you should dose low and wait: how strong the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
