Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Citron Givré
Citron Givré – translated by the breeder as “Lemon Sorbet” – is the selection that T.H. Seeds made from the notorious Birthday Cake strain from Northern California. As the genetics, the manufacturer simply gives “Birthday Cake”; it does not state which parents are behind this line. It describes Citron Givré as a strong hybrid that forms beautiful lime-green flowers with many swollen calyxes. T.H. Seeds does not state an Indica/Sativa ratio; the strain is given as 60% Sativa and 40% Indica. The breeder does not state a THC or CBD value either. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the switch to 12/12. T.H. Seeds also works with the same line in regular seeds: Birthday Cake × Birthday Cake × Strawbanana Cream Regular.
Who Is Citron Givré For?
Citron Givré is a dessert strain with a citrus opening. It suits:
- Lovers of lemon and cake aromas
- Hash makers, whom the breeder expressly addresses
- Indoor growers who would like to harvest after 8 to 9 weeks of flowering
- Growers who can accommodate plants of 100 to 120 cm
- Consumers who like a cheerful and at the same time relaxed effect
If you need specific open-ground values or a THC value from the breeder, you will not find them for this strain and are therefore less well served by it. You can find more strains with a free extra under Bonus Seeds.
Growing Citron Givré: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
T.H. Seeds gives the flowering time as 8 to 9 weeks, the plant height as 100 to 120 cm and the yield as 400 to 500 g per square metre. The breeder describes the flowers as lime green with many swollen calyxes. A net helps to bring the shoots evenly under the light and to support them later. Because of the lemon-fuel note a carbon filter is advisable, and good air movement keeps the flowers dry in the final weeks. As a photoperiod strain, Citron Givré only flowers after the switch to 12/12; through the duration of the vegetative phase you determine how much space the plants fill in the end. You will find the basics on climate and training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Citron Givré is also classified for growing outdoors. However, T.H. Seeds does not state open-ground values of its own: neither a harvest date nor a yield per plant. The breeder gives the height of 100 to 120 cm without distinguishing between indoors and outdoors. A sunny, sheltered spot is the safe choice. You can find more strains for outdoors under feminised outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Citron Givré
The name says it all: according to T.H. Seeds, aromas of lemon fuel make way for sweet, creamy and cake-like notes. The breeder sums up the flavour as creamy, lemon and sweet. It does not state a lab terpene profile. As effects, T.H. Seeds lists four terms: happy, hungry, relaxed and mood-lifting. The manufacturer calls the strain a treat for flower smokers and hash makers alike. The breeder does not give a THC value; so we do not add a figure. With a hybrid that the manufacturer itself describes as strong, a cautious first dose makes sense. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
