Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Commerce City Kush
Commerce City Kush arises from the combination of Chem 4 with Rare Dankness #1, which the breeder also refers to as RD#1 OG. Rare Dankness gives the ratio as 70% Indica to 30% Sativa. According to the breeder, this cross results in a powerful, chemical flavour; it describes the buds as dense and heavily covered in trichomes. The growth is described as compact to medium-tall. Rare Dankness does not state values for THC and CBD. The seeds are regular and photoperiod – the 12 seeds in a pack produce male and female plants, which makes the strain interesting for selection and your own breeding projects. Other regular lines from the breeder in our range are, for example, Venom OG Regular and 501st O.G. Regular.
Who Is Commerce City Kush For?
Commerce City Kush is seed stock for growers who want to do the selecting themselves. It suits:
- Fans of Chem aromas with an OG background
- Selectors looking for a mother plant from regular seeds
- Hobby breeders who carry on working with male plants
- Growers who plan for 60 to 70 days of flowering
- Consumers who appreciate an intense head and body high in the early evening
If you want only female plants without any selection work or are looking for a light daytime strain, you are less well served here. You can find more lines from the USA under US Genetics.
Growing Commerce City Kush: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Rare Dankness gives the flowering time as 60 to 70 days, i.e. up to ten weeks after the switch to 12/12. The growth is described as compact to medium-tall; the breeder does not state a height in centimetres or a yield. As regular seeds produce male and female plants, it is best to germinate more seeds than you want to keep in the end, determine the sex in pre-flowering and remove male plants unless pollination is wanted. The dense, resinous buds need good air movement in the final weeks, and the chemical smell calls for a powerful carbon filter. You will find the basics on selection and climate in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
For open ground, Rare Dankness gives no details of its own on height, harvest date or yield per plant. In the shop, harvest is rated for October; with up to 70 days of flowering, a warm, sheltered spot or a greenhouse helps to bring the plants safely to ripeness. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Commerce City Kush
Rare Dankness describes the flavour as powerful and chemical; according to the breeder, it results from the cross of Chem 4 and RD#1 OG. A distinct fuel note is also described. The breeder does not state a lab terpene profile. On the effect it is clear: an intense high that begins with a full head high and turns into a heavy body high. Rare Dankness therefore recommends the strain for the early evening. The breeder does not give a THC value, and we deliberately do not add an estimate. With regular seeds, individual plants can differ in aroma and strength. How intense the effect is depends on phenotype, dose and individual tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
