Courtesy Limited Edition Regular 10 seeds

Genetics & Origin of Courtesy Limited Edition

Courtesy owes its creation to chance. During a grow with NLX Automatic, Helvetic Seeds discovered a female that did not flower automatically but responded photoperiodically and kept on growing, unimpressed by time and weather. Cuttings were taken from this exceptionally strong plant; a compact, vigorous Owl's Skunk male pollinated them. The result is the limited edition of Courtesy, and the breeder gives the genotype as NLX (Fast Version) × Owl's Skunk. The strain is Indica-dominant with over 70% Indica and grows very homogeneously: 85% of the plants belong to phenotype 1, 15% to phenotype 2. The seeds are regular and photoperiod, so they produce male and female plants. Helvetic Seeds does not state a THC value. Courtesy F2 Regular also comes from this breeder.

Who Is Courtesy Limited Edition For?

Courtesy Limited Edition is a fast, robust Indica hybrid from regular seeds. It suits:

• Beginners looking for a robust strain that forgives growing mistakes
• Growers who would like to harvest after seven to eight weeks of flowering
• Outdoor gardeners who want to be finished from late September to early October
• Selectors who want to choose between two clearly described phenotypes
• Lovers of creamy-sweet aromas with a touch of cheese

If you want only female plants without sex determination or have to grow inconspicuously, you are less well served by this strong-smelling regular strain. You can find more lines with male and female plants under regular seeds.

Growing Courtesy Limited Edition: Indoor & Outdoor

Indoor Growing

Indoors, Helvetic Seeds gives the flowering time as 49 to 56 days. It depends on the phenotype: phenotype 1, which accounts for 85% of the plants, is ready for harvest after 8 weeks on average and delivers an above-average yield with thick, firm flowers and an extraordinary resin coating. Phenotype 2 more closely resembles the Skunk father and needs only 7 weeks. The breeder states more than 500 g/m² as the indoor yield and does not give an indoor height. It describes the leaf-to-flower ratio as great. The strain is considered very robust and forgives many a growing mistake. With regular seeds, plan for sex determination in pre-flowering and, because of the intense smell, make sure you have a carbon filter. The Growpedia with tips for beginners offers a way in.

Outdoor Growing

Outdoors, according to the breeder, Courtesy grows 1 to 1.5 m tall and is ready for harvest from late September to early October. Helvetic Seeds states up to 500 g per plant as the yield. According to the manufacturer's information, the strain is just as robust outdoors as indoors. A sunny, sheltered spot supports the early ripening; in the garden, too, you should identify and remove male plants in good time if you do not want to harvest seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.

Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Courtesy Limited Edition

Helvetic Seeds describes the smell and flavour as creamy-sweet with cheese-like notes – so intense that the team has its own, not very flattering nickname for it. In the smoke, the aroma is nevertheless said to be harmonious, balanced and pleasant. The breeder does not name individual terpenes or a lab profile. Although both phenotypes grow like Indicas, it describes the high as rather Sativa-leaning: a feeling of lightness and light-heartedness. Even so, it is said not to be an ordinary Sativa high, because according to the breeder the effect is not necessarily activating but calming. For phenotype 1, it highlights a positive, very pleasant high and attributes the heavy resin coating to White Widow genetics. Helvetic Seeds does not state a THC value. How intense the effect is depends on phenotype, dose and individual tolerance.

Frequently Asked Questions about Courtesy Limited Edition Regular

How did Courtesy come about?

From a chance find: in an NLX Automatic grow, a female responded photoperiodically instead of automatically. Helvetic Seeds took cuttings from it and pollinated them with an Owl's Skunk male.

How do the two phenotypes differ?

According to the breeder, phenotype 1 makes up 85% of the plants, is ripe after about 8 weeks of flowering and is very high-yielding. Phenotype 2 (15%) more closely resembles the Skunk father and needs only 7 weeks.

Is Courtesy suitable for beginners?

Yes. Helvetic Seeds describes the strain as very robust, indoors and outdoors alike, and it forgives many a growing mistake. Just bear in mind that regular seeds produce male and female plants.

Is Courtesy an autoflower?

No. The mother plant does come from an Automatic grow, but it responded photoperiodically. Courtesy therefore only flowers after the switch to 12/12.

When is Courtesy harvested outdoors?

According to Helvetic Seeds, from late September to early October. The plants grow 1 to 1.5 m tall outside and deliver up to 500 g per plant.
