Critical Sensi Star Early Version 3 seeds

Genetics & Origin of Critical Sensi Star Early Version

According to Delicious Seeds, Critical Sensi Star was created from the breeder's most resinous Sensi Star and a cutting of Critical Mass. Both parents produce a lot of resin but bring quite different aromas with them. For the Early Version, the data sheet gives the line as Critical Sensi Star × Ruderalis; the strain is nevertheless photoperiod and only flowers after the switch to 12/12. Delicious Seeds states 90% Indica and 10% Sativa as well as 24.8% THC, but no CBD value. The seeds are feminised. For Critical Sensi Star, the breeder also lists a series of cup placings from the years 2013 to 2019, including first places in outdoor categories. You will find a Sensi Star at Paradise Seeds, and another Early Version from Delicious Seeds is Sugar Black Rose Early Version.

Who Is Critical Sensi Star Early Version For?

Critical Sensi Star Early Version is designed for short flowering and lots of resin. It suits:

• Experienced growers who work in a Sea of Green with a short vegetative phase
• Outdoor gardeners who want to harvest as early as the beginning of September
• Extract fans – the breeder states a figure of 23% as “BHO Performance”
• Lovers of sweet strawberry aromas with a Skunk flavour
• Consumers looking for a more mental effect despite the Indica genetics

It is less suitable if you expect a heavy, body-focused Indica effect. Delicious Seeds describes growing it as extremely easy; we nevertheless list the strain as one for experienced growers. You can find more Indicas under Indica strains.

Growing Critical Sensi Star Early Version: Indoor & Outdoor

Indoor Growing

For the Early Version, the breeder's data sheet states 45 days of flowering; in the description of Critical Sensi Star, Delicious Seeds speaks of 45 to 55 days. The indoor yield is given as 500 g/m². Like almost all Indicas, the strain grows compact, according to the breeder. For the Sea of Green, the breeder advises keeping the vegetative phase short so that the low to medium stature is maintained. The plants form little leaf mass, and early in flowering resin already coats even the large leaves. Delicious Seeds rates the resistance to mould and pests as high, as it does the tolerance when it comes to watering. The scent becomes very intense towards harvest – a carbon filter makes sense. The basics on climate and training are in the Growpedia.

Outdoor Growing

Outdoors, according to the data sheet, the Early Version is ready for harvest in early September. Delicious Seeds states a yield of more than 900 g per plant; the breeder does not give a height. Thanks to the early harvest, the plant does not have to stand until autumn. Give it a sunny spot, because the time until ripeness is tight. Only grow where it is legal to do so.

Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Critical Sensi Star Early Version

The thick, compact flowers have a very sweet scent with barely perceptible sour touches; Delicious Seeds is reminded of strawberries or wine gums. During harvest and curing, the aroma becomes even more intense. According to the breeder's description, Skunk dominates the flavour, rounded off by fruity and sweet notes, while the data sheet cites citrus fruit. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. The breeder describes the effect as strong, fast-acting and long-lasting. Although it is an almost pure Indica, the high is said to be more mental than physical and not to pin you to the couch; Delicious Seeds therefore considers the strain suitable for daytime use too. At 24.8% THC it is very potent. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.

Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
