Genetics & Origin of Sugar Black Rose Early Version
Sugar Black Rose goes back to the cross of Critical Mass with a Black Domina from 1998. Delicious Seeds describes the hybrid as the embodiment of the Domina phenotype with a fruity-sweet flavour profile. The ratio is 80% Indica and 20% Sativa, the THC content 25%; the breeder does not state a CBD value. For Sugar Black Rose (DS27), Delicious Seeds lists several awards, including first prizes at the Copa La Marina Baixa 2010 (outdoor) and 2011 (indoor) as well as at the Castelló Cannabis Cup 2016 (BHO). Who Is Sugar Black Rose Early Version For?
Sugar Black Rose Early Version is a fast Indica for the evening. It suits:
- Indoor growers who want to harvest after just 45 days of flowering
- Outdoor gardeners who would like to be finished as early as the beginning of September
- Extract fans – the breeder states a BHO return of 25%
- Lovers of sweet fruit and grape aromas

Growing Sugar Black Rose Early Version: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, Delicious Seeds states a flowering time of 45 days for the Early Version, i.e. around six and a half weeks after the switch to 12/12. The plants stay low to medium-tall and, according to the breeder, yield 450 g/m². The manufacturer gives the irrigation tolerance as high – so the strain is more forgiving of fluctuations in watering. It rates the smell as strong, so a powerful carbon filter is part of the basic equipment. Good air movement and controlled humidity protect the flowers in the final weeks. Because of the short flowering time, it is worth checking the trichomes early so that you do not miss the harvest time. You will find the basics on climate and harvest in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, the strain grows medium-tall to tall. Delicious Seeds gives the harvest as early September and a yield of 900 g per plant. The early ripening is the great advantage of this version: in many regions the flowers are finished before the wet autumn weather sets in. A spot in full sun and sturdy supports for heavily laden branches help to exploit its potential. You can find more outdoor strains under outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Sugar Black Rose Early Version
Delicious Seeds describes the main flavour as sweet fruit with notes of ripe grapes and flowers, the aftertaste as slightly spicy but still sweet. The scent is strong and, according to the breeder, reminiscent of sweet citrus fruit with orange and other fruit notes. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. According to the manufacturer, the effect sets in immediately and is narcotic and very relaxing, accompanied by a slight cerebral stimulation. Delicious Seeds recommends the strain for the evening and for relaxation. At 25% THC it is one of the strong strains; with low tolerance you should dose very carefully. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
