Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Fancy Donrouch
Fancy Donrouch is a creation of R-Kiem Seeds. Watermelon Skittles and Tropicanna Cookies were crossed, two lines that the manufacturer highlights for their quality. The result is a balanced hybrid with 50% Indica and 50% Sativa; R-Kiem gives the THC content as 15 to 24.9%. The strain owes its name to a collaboration with the jeweller and artist 0800 DON ROUCH – fittingly, the breeder compares the flower structure to diamonds. It describes a very vigorous plant that adapts to all growing techniques and substrates. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the switch to 12/12. If you would like to compare a similarly named line from another breeder, you will find Watermelon Zkittlez by Barney's Farm in our range.
Who Is Fancy Donrouch For?
Fancy Donrouch is a versatile, vigorous hybrid with striking looks. It suits:
- Beginners looking for a vigorous, adaptable strain for their first grow
- Experienced growers who like to select between several phenotypes
- Lovers of exotic aromas from citrus to watermelon
- Growers who appreciate colourful, heavily resin-covered flowers
- Outdoor gardeners with a spot that stays sunny into October
If you expect uniform plants without differences in colour and aroma, you are less well served by the three phenotypes. You can find other potent hybrids under Super High THC Content.
Growing Fancy Donrouch: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, R-Kiem gives a flowering time of 8 to 9 weeks and a yield of 550 g/m². According to the manufacturer, the strain is considered very vigorous and copes with all kinds of growing techniques and substrates. The breeder gives no height figures. Because three phenotypes occur, it is worth germinating several seeds and labelling the plants: two variants turn bluish and pink, while the third stays green and looks almost silver towards the end of flowering because of the amount of resin. The aroma is very strong, so a carbon filter makes sense. The tips for beginners in the Growpedia offer help with getting started.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, the manufacturer gives October for the harvest and states a yield of up to 1 kg per plant. R-Kiem does not give a more precise date; so plan for a spot that stays sunny and dry into autumn, and support heavy branches in good time. The breeder gives no information on height in open ground. You can find more strains for outdoors under outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Fancy Donrouch
Fancy Donrouch shows three phenotypes with clearly different aromas. According to R-Kiem, the first smells strongly of citrus with a Cookies background, which the breeder attributes to the Tropicanna genetics. The second brings a powerful watermelon aroma with a biscuit note and is more reminiscent of Watermelon Skittles. The third, green phenotype stands out for its enormous amount of resin. What all three have in common are flowers completely coated in trichomes and a very strong scent. The manufacturer does not name individual terpenes or a lab terpene profile. R-Kiem does not describe the type of effect in any detail either, so we add nothing here. According to the breeder, the THC content is between 15 and 24.9% – so the range is wide. How intense the effect is depends on phenotype, dose and individual tolerance.
