Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Flashberry
Flashberry combines the fruity Indica White Berry with Mandala #1, a line from Mandala Seeds' own catalogue. The breeder lists the result as an Indica-Sativa hybrid without giving the shares in per cent and, by its own account, has designed the strain for indoor, outdoor and greenhouse growing. As a special feature it highlights high yields for little effort. Mandala Seeds gives the cannabinoid values as 18.5 to 23% THC, 0.15% CBD and 0.5% CBG. Flashberry is photoperiod and offered as regular seed: the seeds grow into male and female plants, so you can select or produce seeds of your own. You will also find the parent as Mandala Nr 1 Regular in our range.
Who Is Flashberry For?
Flashberry is an early-ripening hybrid that we rate as suitable for beginners. It suits:
- Beginners who would like to grow and select their first regular strain
- Outdoor gardeners who want to harvest in late September to early October
- Yield-focused growers with soil, hydro or a greenhouse
- Lovers of sweet blueberry aromas with a minty note
- Extract fans who appreciate a pronounced terpene profile
It is less suitable if you want only female plants or have little space outdoors – the manufacturer states over one kilo per plant there. You can find more strains for outdoors under regular outdoor seeds.
Growing Flashberry: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Mandala Seeds gives the indoor flowering time as 55 to 62 days, i.e. around eight to nine weeks after the switch to 12/12. In organic growing, the breeder states a dry yield of more than 550 g/m². According to the manufacturer, the strain copes with soil just as well as with hydro or the greenhouse, and it regards it as easy to grow in all cultivation methods. It describes the height as medium to tall and easy to control; it does not give a figure in centimetres. With regular seeds, you determine the sex in pre-flowering and remove male plants if pollination is not wanted. The Growpedia tips for beginners offer help for getting started.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors in the northern hemisphere, according to Mandala Seeds, Flashberry is ripe in late September to early October. In soil, the breeder states 1,000 to 1,200 g per plant and more – so plan for enough space, a large root zone and supports, because such quantities also have to be dried and processed. The manufacturer describes the strain as early-ripening, robust and resilient. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Flashberry
According to Mandala Seeds, Flashberry smells sweet and fruity with a clear blueberry note; in the flavour, something minty is added, and the flavour is described as smooth and pleasant. The breeder speaks of a very pronounced terpene profile, which also makes the strain interesting for extracts – it does not name individual terpenes, however. It describes the effect as euphoric, uplifting and cheerful, and at the same time creative, focused and relaxing: a versatile high for creative work or a break in between. With 18.5 to 23% THC, Flashberry is strong; CBD (0.15%) and CBG (0.5%) are present only in small amounts. How intense the effect is depends on dose and personal tolerance.
