Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Lemon Kush
According to the breeder, Lemon Kush by Female Seeds is a selected Chitral Kush from the mountains of the Hindu Kush; it does not mention a cross with another strain. As its origin, it gives the area between Afghanistan, Pakistan and Holland and speaks of a mix of Oriental genetics and Dutch efficiency. The strain looks like an Indica and is described as an Indica with a touch of Sativa; Female Seeds does not give exact proportions, nor a THC or CBD value. The extremely compact flowers that look snow-white and the lemony aroma that fits the name are striking. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the switch to 12/12. A Chitral Kush as regular seed from another breeder is Pakistan Chitral Kush Regular by Ace Seeds; White Widow x Big Bud also comes from Female Seeds.
Who Is Lemon Kush For?
Lemon Kush is a compact Kush with a citrus note. It suits:
- Growers with little space who prefer plants 80 to 100 cm tall
- Balcony and garden growers looking for inconspicuous plants
- Outdoor growers in temperate or Mediterranean climates
- Lovers of citrus and hash aromas
- Consumers who want to relax physically but keep a clear head
If you are looking for a strongly stimulating Sativa or documented lab values, you are less well served here, because the manufacturer does not state figures on the THC content. You can find more traditional lines under Classics and Landraces.
Growing Lemon Kush: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Female Seeds gives the flowering time of Lemon Kush as 8 to 9 weeks and the height as 80 to 100 cm. This means the strain stays compact and also fits into smaller grow rooms. It forms extremely compact, resin-coated flowers; good air movement and controlled humidity in the final weeks help to keep such dense flowers dry. The breeder does not state an indoor yield in g/m² – it describes the yield in general terms as high. It does not comment on training methods. Because of the intense, tangy, fresh smell, a carbon filter makes sense. You will find the basics on climate and lighting in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the manufacturer, Lemon Kush is suitable for Mediterranean and temperate climate zones; harvest falls at the end of September. Under good conditions, according to Female Seeds, up to 1 kg per plant is possible – a maximum value, not an average. The breeder does not state a separate outdoor height. A sunny, sheltered spot suits the strain. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Lemon Kush
Female Seeds describes the smell of Lemon Kush as a mix of herbal lemonade and hashish: tangy, fresh and intense. In flavour, the strain is lemony, spicy and slightly musky. The manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. It describes the effect as a full “stoned” feeling in the body, while the head stays surprisingly clear – intended for winding down without falling asleep in the process. The breeder sums it up like this: Lemon Kush relaxes the body and refreshes the mind and is something for everyone who does not want to switch off completely when relaxing. Female Seeds does not give a THC value; we therefore do not state a figure. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
