Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Mind Fuck
For Mind Fuck, the US brand Cookies crossed two strains from its own circle: Gelato × Sunset Sherbet. The manufacturer describes the strain as a remix of lines from the now classic Cookies catalogue and lists it as an Indica hybrid; the data sheet does not state an exact ratio of Indica to Sativa. The THC content is given as around 19%, and the data sheet gives no information on the CBD content. The looks are striking: Cookies speaks of purple plants with purple, “diamond-studded” flowers – meaning the dense resin coverage. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the switch to 12/12. If you would like to get to know the two parent strains individually, you will find Gelato by Nirvana and Sunset Sherbet by Pyramid Seeds in our range, each in the version of a different breeder.
Who Is Mind Fuck For?
Mind Fuck combines two well-known Cookies lines with a striking flower colour. It suits:
- Fans of the genetics around Gelato and Sunset Sherbet
- Growers who appreciate purple, resinous flowers
- Indoor growers who prefer medium-tall plants
- Outdoor gardeners who want to harvest around the turn of the month from September to October
- Consumers looking for a relaxing strain with a sweet, fruity aroma
Mind Fuck is less suitable if you are mainly after as much yield as possible: at 400 g/m² it sits in the mid-range. You can find higher-yielding alternatives under High Yield & Short Flowering.
Growing Mind Fuck: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
After the switch to 12/12, Mind Fuck flowers for 8 to 9 weeks according to the manufacturer; the data sheet states a yield of 400 g/m². The plants stay medium-tall. The figures given are 90 to 120 cm, in some cases only up to 110 cm – so the height remains easy to plan for in the tent. Cookies describes the flowers as being spread over the whole plant; it is therefore worth lighting the lower shoots well too. Flowers densely covered in resin reward good air movement in the final weeks. You can read more about climate and lighting in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, the manufacturer states 450 to 500 g per plant. The harvest time is given as late September to early October. Outside, the plants grow noticeably taller than in the tent; however, no reliable height figure is available for open ground. A sunny, sheltered spot helps to bring the resinous flowers to ripeness in dry condition. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Mind Fuck
The aroma of Mind Fuck is described as sweet, fruity and earthy, joined by creamy notes and a little citrus. The manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile in the data sheet. Nothing is said there about the effect either; it is considered relaxing, which fits the classification as an Indica hybrid. The THC content is given as around 19% – we do not know of a lab value from Cookies itself. Visually, the purple, heavily resin-coated flowers are part of the strain's character. How intense the effect is in an individual case depends on dose and personal tolerance; approach it slowly the first time you try it.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
