Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Monster
Monster by Eva Female Seeds is the direct offspring of a G13 Hash Plant and a South American hybrid, which the strain description also refers to as a South American Sativa. The outcome was a Sativa-dominant hybrid with 80% Sativa and 20% Indica that flowers photoperiodically and is offered as feminised seed. The manufacturer gives the THC content only as medium and the CBD content as low; it does not state percentages. The growth is characteristic: tall and sprawling, with a thick main bud and strong side branching. For the resin quality, Eva Female Seeds points to a placing at Spannabis 2009 in the resins category; which rank the strain achieved there is not apparent from the strain description. Sensi Seeds offers a regular line of G13 and Hash Plant with Mr. Nice G13 x Hash Plant Regular.
Who Is Monster For?
Monster is a good-natured giant with great yield potential. It suits:
- Beginners with ambitions who are looking for an undemanding, robust strain
- Outdoor gardeners with a great deal of space for tall plants
- Growers with weaker lighting – according to the manufacturer it stays productive even under 200 watts
- Yield-focused growers who want to feed little
- Consumers who like a cheerful, not too heavy Sativa high for sociable get-togethers
For small gardens, balconies or inconspicuous growing outdoors, it is less suitable at up to 4 metres in height. You can find more uncomplicated strains under cannabis seeds for beginners.
Growing Monster: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
In the grow room, Monster flowers for 65 to 70 days and, according to Eva Female Seeds, grows 100 to 120 cm tall. The manufacturer gives the yield as 500 g to 1 kg/m² – a very wide range, the upper end of which you should understand as the best case. The plant forms a thick main bud and strong side branches, gets by with minimal fertiliser and is said to remain productive even under a 200-watt lamp. So feed sparingly. The heavy side branches can be secured with stakes or a net. You will find basic knowledge for getting started in the tips for beginners.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, Monster shows where the name comes from: the manufacturer states up to 4 metres in height and 1 to 2.8 kg per plant. Such values require a long growth phase, plenty of root space and full sun; also plan for sturdy supports and ample spacing. Eva Female Seeds does not give a harvest month; we list the strain with October as the harvest month. The same applies outside: it gets by with little fertiliser. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Monster
Eva Female Seeds compares the scent to a wooden barrel full of spices: the main notes are wood, dry herbs and classic hashish, with gently spicy tones underneath that are surprisingly elegant according to the manufacturer. It compares the flavour to barrel ageing. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. The effect is portrayed as cheerful, creative and slightly psychedelic, but never too heavy – intended for social get-togethers or inspired afternoons, with good-humoured mental cinema instead of couch-lock. Eva Female Seeds gives the THC content only as medium and the CBD content as low; percentages are missing. How intensely Monster acts in an individual case depends on dose and personal tolerance.
