Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Nebula
Nebula, the “starcloud”, is one of the much-awarded strains from Paradise Seeds. The breeder states 60% Sativa and 40% Indica but does not reveal which parent strains are behind it. According to the manufacturer, after its market launch Nebula was an instant success in Great Britain, where indoor growers recognised the potential of the fast-growing plant. Added to this is a series of placings, including first places at the Copa La Bella Flor in Spain in 2005 and the Copa del Plata 2012 (Outdoor) as well as a second place at the High Times Cannabis Cup Amsterdam 2005. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod. Paradise Seeds gives THC and CBD only as a star rating, three stars for THC and one for CBD, not in per cent. With Nebula II CBD, the breeder also carries a CBD variant.
Who Is Nebula For?
Nebula is a vigorous Sativa hybrid with a manageable flowering time. It suits:
- Beginners looking for a fast-growing, versatile strain
- Indoor growers who work in a Sea of Green
- Outdoor gardeners with a sunny, south-facing spot
- Collectors of award-winning strains with cup placings
- Consumers who appreciate an activating, head-focused effect during the day
If you are looking for a heavy, body-focused strain for the evening, you are better served by an Indica. In very low rooms the stretch-prone plant only copes with pruning or tying down. You can find more Sativa-leaning strains under Sativa strains.
Growing Nebula: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Paradise Seeds developed Nebula primarily for indoor growing. The flowering time is 60 to 65 days, and the breeder gives the yield as 500 g/m². According to the manufacturer, the strain works particularly well under artificial light in a Sea of Green. Because of its Sativa genes it stretches strongly towards the light; Paradise Seeds therefore advises pruning it or tying it down. Some growers harvest the flowers, which are lush early on, prematurely – the breeder recommends waiting until full ripeness so that the effect develops completely. It does not give a height figure. You will find the basics for a first run under tips for beginners.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, too, Nebula grows towards the light. According to Paradise Seeds it thrives best in southern areas; however, it was bred for versatility and also copes in more northerly regions, especially in south-facing spots. As a suitable area the manufacturer names the latitudes between 50° North and 50° South, with a harvest at the beginning of October in the northern hemisphere and 750 g per plant. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Nebula
Paradise Seeds gives the aroma of Nebula as fruity and sweet; the breeder also describes the flavour as fruity. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. In its words, the effect sets in quickly and is initially activating, which it attributes to the Sativa genes. Added to this is a gentle Indica note that rounds off the high, so that you get through the day well and can get things done. The data sheet puts it briefly: head-related, trippy. The sparkling, glittering flowers gave the strain its name. Paradise Seeds does not state a THC value in per cent, only a star rating; the breeder speaks of THC-rich flowers. How intensely Nebula works depends on dose and individual tolerance.
