Who Is Original Juan Herer For?
Original Juan Herer is a potent daytime strain with a manageable flowering time. It suits:
- Sativa fans who do not want to plan for more than 55 to 65 days of flowering
- Yield-focused growers, as the manufacturer states 600 g/m²
- Outdoor gardeners who would like to harvest in early October
- Lovers of earthy, incense-like aromas with a strong smell
- Consumers looking for a cerebral high for creative activities
If you have to grow inconspicuously, you should bear the strong smell in mind, and the stimulating effect is less fitting for a quiet evening. You can find more potent strains under Super High THC Content.
Growing Original Juan Herer: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, Original Juan Herer flowers for 55 to 65 days – manageable for a Sativa-dominant strain, as Delicious Seeds emphasises. The breeder gives the yield as 600 g/m². It describes the height as medium to tall, without stating centimetres; so plan some headroom in reserve and get the plants into shape with topping or a net. The manufacturer expressly rates the smell as strong, so a powerful carbon filter is part of the set-up. As a photoperiod strain, it only begins to flower after the switch to 12/12. You will find the basics on training and climate in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to Delicious Seeds, the strain is ready for harvest in early October and produces up to 800 g per plant. The breeder does not state a plant height for outside; with a strain that it already rates as medium to tall indoors, you should plan sufficient space and supports for the side shoots. A sunny, sheltered spot helps to bring in the harvest before the wet autumn. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Original Juan Herer
Delicious Seeds describes the flavour as earthy and incense-like, the aroma as strong, intense and aromatic – a profile that, in the breeder's view, appeals above all to connoisseurs. The manufacturer does not state a lab terpene profile. It clearly assigns the effect to the Sativa side: cerebral, uplifting and mentally stimulating. Delicious Seeds names the daytime as the best time, as well as creative or mentally demanding activities. With a THC content of over 20%, Original Juan Herer is a strong strain; the manufacturer does not give an upper limit. If you have little tolerance, you should dose correspondingly low. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
