According to Royal Queen Seeds, the story of Royal Gorilla begins with a coincidence: at the US breeders Joesy Whales and Lone Watie, Chem Sis plants accidentally turned hermaphrodite and pollinated a Sour Dubb. Joesy threw the plants away, Lone kept a few seeds and germinated them later – this gave rise to the strain that became known as Gorilla Glue. According to the story told by the manufacturer, the name goes back to the resin, which was so sticky that the breeders got stuck to everything. Royal Gorilla is a balanced hybrid with 50% Indica and 50% Sativa. As awards, RQS names the Cannabis Cup 2014 and the World Cannabis Cup 2015 with first place as best hybrid.
