Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of RS11
Behind the abbreviation RS11 is Rainbow Sherbert #11, a cross of Pink Guava and OZK. The origin of the strain is attributed to the Californian breeders Doja Exclusive, Wizard Trees and Deep East, and it is considered highly sought after in the scene there. Elev8 Seeds offers the genetics as feminised, photoperiod seeds. RS11 is classed as a balanced hybrid with a slight Indica lean; a percentage ratio is not given. According to the manufacturer, the THC content is 25 to 30%; it does not state a CBD value. The high resin production, vivid colours and a very terpene-rich profile with dessert character are highlighted. Other breeders also work with this line, for example in RS11 x Banana OG by Barney's Farm. Permanent Rainbow also comes from the Elev8 Seeds catalogue.
Who Is RS11 For?
RS11 combines a striking dessert aroma with a very high THC content. It suits:
- Aroma lovers looking for sweet, fruity strains with a gas note
- Consumers with tolerance who know how to gauge 25 to 30% THC
- Indoor growers who would like to harvest after 8 to 9 weeks of flowering
- Outdoor gardeners in locations where autumn holds until mid-October
- Extraction fans who value high resin production
It is less suitable for anyone looking for a mild strain – the THC content is too high for that. You can find more strains from American breeders under US Genetics.
Growing RS11: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
In the grow room, according to the manufacturer, RS11 flowers for 8 to 9 weeks after the switch to 12/12 and yields up to 600 g/m². Elev8 Seeds does not state a plant height; so plan the space according to the actual growth of your plants. The strain produces a lot of resin and an intense aroma – a powerful carbon filter is part of the basic equipment, and good air movement keeps the flowers dry in the final weeks. The manufacturer gives no information on preferred training techniques. You will find the basics on climate, feeding and training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the manufacturer, RS11 is ready for harvest in mid-October and can deliver up to 800 g per plant. It credits the strain with good pest resistance. Because of the October harvest, you need a location where autumn stays dry and sunny for long enough; in cool, damp locations a greenhouse offers more security. There is no figure for the height outdoors. You can find more strains for outdoors under feminised outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of RS11
The scent of RS11 is sweet and fruity with notes of caramel, gas and a sour top note; the manufacturer describes the flavour as smooth and fruity with a long-lasting aftertaste. It speaks of a very terpene-heavy profile with dessert character but names no individual terpenes and no lab profile. According to its description, the effect begins with a euphoric, creative burst and then slowly turns into deep physical relaxation without pinning you to the sofa straight away. It therefore sees RS11 as a strain for the day as well as for the evening. At 25 to 30% THC it is one of the very strong strains – start with a low dose. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
