Genetics & Origin of Serious Happiness
Serious Happiness unites two strains that Serious Seeds calls cannabis legends: AK-47 and Warlock. The breeder describes the result as a balanced hybrid and elsewhere as an award-winning Sativa hybrid – the strain description does not specify which award is meant, and an Indica-Sativa ratio in per cent is missing. The plant grows compact with ideal spacing between the side branches, which according to the breeder makes it particularly suitable for indoor growing. Serious Seeds does not give THC and CBD values. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod; so flowering only begins after the light cycle is switched to 12/12. Serious Seeds also carries both parent strains individually: you will also find AK-47 and Warlock in our range.
Who Is Serious Happiness For?
Serious Happiness is an uncomplicated hybrid with strengths in the grow room. It suits:
- Beginners looking for a strain that, according to the breeder, is easy to grow
- Experienced growers who appreciate a compact, easily controlled structure
- Indoor gardeners who plan for 8 to 9 weeks of flowering
- Anyone who wants to save time when trimming – the buds carry little foliage
- Consumers who like a cheerful, clear high with a relaxed body
It is less suitable for anyone who wants to go by fixed key figures: the breeder does not put a figure on yield or THC content. You can find more strains for the grow room under indoor strains.
Growing Serious Happiness: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Serious Seeds gives the flowering time as about 8 to 9 weeks. The plant stays medium-sized and easy to control and grows compact with ideal spacing between the side branches – according to the breeder, an ideal structure for the grow room; it names indoor growing as preferred. During flowering, large, compact buds with little foliage develop on every branch, which makes manicuring particularly easy. The breeder describes the yield as high but does not give a figure in g/m². It does not prescribe any special training techniques; because buds form on every branch, it is worth lighting the side shoots well and supporting heavy branches. Serious Seeds describes growing as easy. The tips for beginners in the Growpedia offer a good introduction.
Outdoor Growing
Growing outdoors is possible according to Serious Seeds, even though the breeder prefers indoor growing. It gives no details of harvest time, height or yield per plant for outdoors. Choose a sunny, sheltered spot and check the compact buds regularly for moisture in autumn. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Serious Happiness
When smoked, according to Serious Seeds, Serious Happiness impresses with a sweet-fruity aroma and a subtle spiciness. The breeder describes the scent as sweet-fruity, partly spicy, and the flavour as fruity with a spicy note and a sweet aftertaste – a highly recognisable profile. It does not name individual terpenes or a lab terpene profile. The effect sets in with a harmonious body stone, accompanied by a euphoric, clear head high; the breeder calls it euphoric, relaxing and creative and recommends the strain for relaxed afternoons with a permanent smile on your face – hence the name. Serious Seeds does not give a THC value, so we do not add a figure. How intense the effect is depends on dose and personal tolerance.
