Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Star 47
Star 47 is a cross of two well-known names: AK-47, which World of Seeds highlights for its fast flowering and fruity aroma, and the award-winning Sensi Star. The breeder describes the result as a small, bushy plant with massive buds, a short flowering time and an intensely sweet fruit profile. With 90% Indica and 10% Sativa, the strain is strongly Indica-dominant; World of Seeds gives the THC content as 20%, and no CBD value is given. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the switch to 12/12. You will also find strains bearing the names of the two parents individually in our range: AK-47 by Serious Seeds and Sensi Star by Paradise Seeds.
Who Is Star 47 For?
Star 47 is a compact Indica with a short flowering time and plenty of resin. It suits:
- Beginners looking for a low-maintenance, robust strain
- Growers with small rooms or a Sea of Green set-up with many plants
- Outdoor gardeners who harvest in early October and pay attention to mould resistance
- Lovers of sweet, fruity Indica aromas and very resinous buds
- Consumers looking for a relaxing strain for quiet evenings
If you are looking for a consistently stimulating Sativa high for the daytime, this Indica is not the best choice. You can find more strains of this kind under Indica strains.
Growing Star 47: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, Star 47 flowers for just 60 to 65 days after the switch to 12/12. World of Seeds states 400 to 500 g/m². The plants stay small and bushy, which, according to the manufacturer, makes them ideal for small grows and for the SOG method: many small plants, a short vegetative phase, an even canopy of flowers. The breeder does not give a height in centimetres. Because the buds become massive and very resinous, good air movement among the plants is worthwhile in the final weeks; a carbon filter makes sense for the intense aroma. The manufacturer describes the strain as low-maintenance. The Growpedia offers a way in with its tips for beginners.
Outdoor Growing
Under the open sky, Star 47 is stable and resistant according to World of Seeds; its very good resistance to mould and pests is highlighted. Harvest falls in early October, and the manufacturer states a yield of 400 to 600 g per plant. No height is given for open ground, but the compact growth makes the strain interesting for smaller gardens too. A sunny, sheltered spot supports ripening. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Star 47
According to World of Seeds, Star 47 smells fruity, sweet and intense. For the flavour, the breeder cites ripe fruit with a soft, creamy note and recommends the highly aromatic strain to lovers of sweet Indicas. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. According to its description, the effect starts out mentally activating and then turns into pleasant physical relaxation – World of Seeds sees it as a strain for quiet evenings. Added to this is the high resin production, which the breeder emphasises several times. The THC content is given as 20%; the manufacturer does not state a CBD value. This makes Star 47 a strong strain for which a cautious first dose is advisable. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
