Thundersnow Seeds – Cookie Blizzard × White Truffle by Elev8
What is Thundersnow? Thundersnow by Elev8 Seeds is a feminised, photoperiod Indica hybrid of Cookie Blizzard × White Truffle. The breeder states a flowering time of 8 to 9 weeks and describes the yield as high; it gives no figures for THC, height or harvest quantity. The breeder describes both parents as exceptionally resinous; with Cookie Blizzard, the resin layer extends right onto the fan leaves. Elev8 Seeds describes an aroma only for White Truffle: diesel and apricot. The strain suits growers looking for resin-rich genetics from American breeding – in the US Genetics category. Available in packs of 3 and 6 seeds.

Genetics & Origin of Thundersnow
Thundersnow is a cross by Elev8 Seeds of Cookie Blizzard and White Truffle. The starting point is a Cookie Blizzard cutting, which the breeder describes as surprisingly high-yielding – unusual for such a resinous strain. According to Elev8 Seeds, Cookie Blizzard in turn goes back to MAC and Cookies and Cream, has a very good structure and forms masses of golf-ball-sized flowers. The second parent, White Truffle, is, according to the breeder, generally regarded as a special phenotype of Gorilla Butter; who originally selected it is not known. Elev8 Seeds chose White Truffle to bring in resin coverage, yield and vigour. Thundersnow is listed as an Indica hybrid without percentages; the breeder does not state THC or CBD values. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod. From the same breeder also comes Permanent Rainbow, a cross of RS54 × Permanent Marker.
Who Is Thundersnow For?
Thundersnow is aimed at growers for whom resin matters more than a data sheet without gaps. It suits:
- Lovers of heavily resin-coated flowers
- Fans of current crosses from American breeders
- Indoor growers who plan for 8 to 9 weeks of flowering
- Growers who rely on a strain described by the breeder as high-yielding
- Collectors who prefer small packs of 3 or 6 seeds
Thundersnow is less suitable if you want to plan with fixed values for THC, height and yield – Elev8 Seeds does not state these. You can find more photoperiod strains under feminised seeds.
Growing Thundersnow: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
As a photoperiod strain, Thundersnow only goes into flower after the switch to 12/12; Elev8 Seeds gives the flowering time as 8 to 9 weeks. The breeder describes the yield as high without quantifying it in g/m²; it does not state a height either. So leave some headroom in the tent and watch the stretch in the first weeks of flowering. For Cookie Blizzard, the breeder describes many golf-ball-sized, very resinous flowers – good air movement keeps such compact flowers dry, and a carbon filter traps the smell. You will find the basics on climate, training and harvest in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Thundersnow is intended for growing both indoors and outdoors. Elev8 Seeds does not state when it ripens outdoors, nor the height or yield per plant; October is given as the outdoor harvest time. A sunny, sheltered spot helps to bring the resin-rich flowers to maturity dry. You can find more strains for open ground under feminised outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Thundersnow
Elev8 Seeds does not describe an aroma profile of its own for Thundersnow. The only pointer comes from the parent White Truffle, whose terpene profile, according to the breeder, is said to be reminiscent of diesel and apricot; for Cookie Blizzard it gives no aroma information. How clearly these notes show in the cross depends on the individual phenotype. The manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. Elev8 Seeds does not comment on the effect or the THC content either. For the strain itself, a relaxing effect is stated. In the shop, Thundersnow is classed in the over 19% THC bracket, which is to be understood only as a rough approximation. We deliberately do not add any estimates. With a strain that has no THC figure, feel your way forward cautiously. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
