Trop Dog Regular 13 seeds
Trop Dog Regular – Tropicana Cherry × Chemdog 91 Bx3
What is Trop Dog? Trop Dog by Lucky Dog Cannabis Co. is a regular, photoperiod cross of Tropicana Cherry × Chemdog 91 Bx3 with a flowering time of 56 to 63 days. The breeder wanted to give the colourful Trop Cherry more kick: according to its description, the fuchsia colouring in most phenotypes and the flavour of overripe cherries with an earthy, nutty note have remained, joined by a subtle fuel note from the Chem. It does not state figures for THC and yield. For selectors and collectors of Chemdog lines – in the regular seeds category. Available in a pack of 13 seeds.

Genetics & Origin of Trop Dog
In the breeder's words, Trop Dog brings the old and the new school together. Tropicana Cherry, Trop Cherry for short, is known for its beautiful fuchsia colouring and a near-perfect structure. As the male partner, Lucky Dog used its Chemdog 91 Bx3; the breeder identifies the seeds as original Chemdog genetics. The aim was to give Trop Cherry additional kick without losing its merits – according to the breeder, the magnificent colour still shows in most of the phenotypes observed. Lucky Dog does not state an Indica/Sativa ratio or values for THC or CBD. The seeds are regular and photoperiod; a pack contains 13 seeds, from which male and female plants grow. A Tropicana Cherry is available in our range as a strain in its own right from Barney's Farm.
Who Is Trop Dog For?
Trop Dog combines show value with Chem character. It suits:
- Selectors who search for colourful phenotypes among 13 regular seeds
- Hobby breeders who use male plants for their own projects
- Collectors of original Chemdog genetics
- Lovers of cherry aromas with an earthy, nutty note
- Growers who plan for 56 to 63 days of flowering
If you want only female plants without any selection work, feminised seeds are the better choice; the breeder does not supply fixed yield figures either. You can find more lines from the USA under US Genetics.
Growing Trop Dog: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
For Trop Dog, Lucky Dog states a flowering time of 56 to 63 days, counted from the switch to 12/12. The breeder gives no information on height and yield; it describes the structure of Trop Cherry as near-perfect. As regular seeds produce male and female plants, it is worth germinating all 13 seeds, determining the sex in pre-flowering and removing male plants if you do not want to produce seeds. If you are selecting, take cuttings before flowering and in the end keep the phenotype that convinces in colour and aroma. You will find the basics on selection and climate in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Trop Dog is intended for growing indoors and outdoors. The breeder does not state a harvest date, a plant height or a yield per plant for open ground. A sunny, sheltered spot is the safe choice; outdoors too, you should spot male plants early and remove them unless pollination is wanted. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Trop Dog
When it comes to flavour, the breeder gets specific: Trop Cherry brings the aroma of overripe cherries and an earthy nuttiness of its own that many of today's consumers appreciate. The Chemdog father adds a fuel note which, according to Lucky Dog, is present but not overwhelming. The breeder does not state a lab terpene profile. On the effect, all that is said is that the Chem side was meant to give the cross more kick – a goal that Lucky Dog describes as achieved. It does not describe in any detail how this kick shows itself, and there is no THC value; so we do not add an estimate. With regular seeds, the plants also turn out differently. How intense the effect is depends on phenotype, dose and individual tolerance.
