Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Zkit Kandy Dream Edition
Kannabia gives the genotype of Zkit Kandy Dream Edition as Somango × Zkittlez. The result is an Indica-dominant hybrid; the manufacturer does not state an exact percentage. The name says it all: Kannabia compares the strain to a colourful sweet – the flowers are dark green and coated in crystalline resin as if with a layer of sugar. According to the manufacturer, the THC content is 18% and the CBD content below 0.5%. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the light cycle is switched to 12/12. Kannabia describes cultivation as easy and ideal for first-time growers, and at the same time as a treat for experienced home growers. No awards are listed. A strain in our range from another breeder whose name is related to the parent strain is Somango XL by Royal Queen Seeds.
Who Is Zkit Kandy Dream Edition For?
Zkit Kandy Dream Edition is a sweet Indica hybrid with a short flowering time. It suits:
- Beginners looking for a strain that, according to the manufacturer, is easy to grow
- Growers who want to harvest after around eight weeks of flowering
- Outdoor gardeners who would like to harvest as early as September
- Lovers of sweet, fruity aromas
- Consumers looking for a relaxing effect at 18% THC
If you are looking for an activating daytime strain, you are better served by Sativa-leaning genetics; this Indica hybrid is less suitable for that. You can find other uncomplicated strains under cannabis seeds for beginners.
Growing Zkit Kandy Dream Edition: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, Zkit Kandy Dream Edition flowers for 55 to 60 days according to Kannabia. The manufacturer rates the yield as medium without giving a figure; around 500 g/m² is stated. Kannabia does not give an indoor height. As the strain reaches an average of 180 cm outdoors, it pays to keep the vegetative phase in the tent short and to train the plants early. The very resinous flowers benefit from good air movement in the final weeks, and a carbon filter helps against the sweet smell. The manufacturer describes cultivation as easy. You will find tips for your first runs in the Growpedia for beginners.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to Kannabia, the strain reaches an average height of 180 cm and is harvested in September. Here too, the manufacturer rates the yield as medium; it does not give a figure per plant. The early harvest is an advantage in regions where autumn turns damp. Plan for enough space, choose a sunny spot sheltered from the wind and support the side shoots when the flowers become heavy. You can find more strains with a short flowering time under High Yield & Short Flowering. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Zkit Kandy Dream Edition
With this strain, Kannabia puts sweetness at the centre: the manufacturer compares it to a colourful sweet that explodes in the mouth. The aroma is considered sweet and fruity. The manufacturer does not name individual flavour notes or a lab terpene profile. Kannabia does not give its own information on the effect either; it is described as relaxing for body and mind, which fits the Indica-dominant character. With 18% THC and less than 0.5% CBD, Zkit Kandy Dream Edition is strong without being one of the strongest strains. Start with small amounts if you do not yet know the strain. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
