Genetics & Origin of Auto LSD
Auto LSD is the autoflowering version of LSD, which Barney's Farm counts among its legendary strains. For this, the breeder crossed it with its autoflowering line; it gives the lineage as LSD × Super Magnum Auto. The genetics consist of 70% Indica and 30% Sativa. Barney's Farm puts the THC content at 24%; the manufacturer does not state a CBD value. The seeds are feminised, and the plants flower independently of the light cycle. In the data sheet, the breeder awards high resistance scores: 5 out of 5 each against mould, powdery mildew and spider mites, and 4 out of 5 against cold. The growing difficulty is given there as the lowest level, 1 out of 5. Another autoflower from the breeder is Auto Gorilla Glue.
Who Is Auto LSD For?
Auto LSD is uncomplicated to grow but strong in effect. It suits:
- Beginner growers looking for a robust autoflower that is easy to grow according to the data sheet
- Growers who want to get from seed to harvest in 64 to 70 days
- Indoor growers with limited headroom
- Outdoor gardeners who value high resistance to mould, mildew and cold
- Experienced consumers who appreciate a powerful, body-focused effect
It is less suitable for inexperienced consumers: Barney's Farm itself does not recommend the strain for beginners because of its strong effect. You can find more uncomplicated autoflowers under cannabis seeds for beginners.
Growing Auto LSD: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Barney's Farm gives the time from seed to harvest as 64 to 70 days; the breeder does not state a flowering time on its own, and the light cycle does not need to be switched. Indoors, according to the manufacturer, the plants reach 80 to 100 cm – the data sheet states 90 to 120 cm without distinguishing between growing locations. For the yield, it states 550 to 650 g/m²; the upper figure is very high and requires good conditions. The breeder describes the strain as very fast-growing and easy to grow. The Growpedia explains the first steps under tips for beginners.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to Barney's Farm, the plants grow 100 to 130 cm tall. The manufacturer states a yield of 280 to 350 g per plant. The breeder does not state a harvest month; what counts is the cycle of 64 to 70 days from sowing. Barney's Farm gives the resistance to mould and mildew the top score and the resistance to cold 4 out of 5. You can find more strains under automatic seeds outdoor. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Auto LSD
Barney's Farm describes the aroma as musky, earthy, herbal and skunky; for the flavour, the breeder names earthy chestnut, mango, citrus and sweet-and-sour notes. It does not give a lab terpene profile. According to the manufacturer, the effect sets in quickly and is powerful: it speaks of a psychedelically tinged experience that alters perception and sums it up with the terms sociable, body high, euphoric and relaxing. With 24% THC, Auto LSD is a strong autoflower. Barney's Farm expressly points out that the strain is not recommended for beginners – this refers to the effect, not to growing. So start with a low dose. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
