Genetics & Origin of Roxanne
Roxanne comes from the US breeder Exotic Genetix and is a cross of Pacoima Kush and Red Runtz. According to the strain description, Pacoima Kush contributes the powerful, calming effect, Red Runtz the fruity, sweet variety of aromas. The result is an Indica-dominant strain that combines relaxing effects with a touch of euphoric Sativa character; an exact ratio is not stated. The THC content is described as very high; a percentage is missing, as is a CBD value. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod – so flowering only sets in after the light cycle is switched. The plants grow medium-tall, vigorous and robust. Other strains from the breeder in our range are, for example, Fritter Glitter and Primetime.
Who Is Roxanne For?
Roxanne is an aromatic, potent Indica hybrid. It suits:
- Beginners in growing who are looking for a vigorously and robustly growing strain
- Indoor growers who plan for a height of 80 to 120 cm
- Outdoor gardeners who want to harvest from late September to early October
- Lovers of sweet, fruity aromas with earthy, peppery depth
- Experienced consumers looking for a strong effect in the evening
It is less suitable for inexperienced consumers: because of the very high THC content, the strain description expressly describes it as not suitable for beginners. You can find more Indica-dominant strains under Indica strains.
Growing Roxanne: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, the flowering time is 60 to 70 days. The plants grow 80 to 120 cm tall and, according to the description, grow medium-tall but vigorous and robust. The yield is given as 450 to 600 g/m². The strain description contains no specific training recommendations; with medium-tall plants, it makes sense to keep the canopy even by tying branches down. According to the description, the intense, sweet, fruity smell fills the air – so plan for a carbon filter and ensure air movement in late flowering. The Growpedia with tips for beginners offers an easy introduction to climate, light and feeding.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, Roxanne grows 1.5 to 2.5 metres tall depending on growing conditions. Harvest falls from late September to early October, and the yield is given as 500 g to 1 kg per plant. For such sizes, the plant needs a spot in full sun and plenty of root space; supports keep the side branches from snapping. The strain description gives no information on climate requirements and mould resistance. You can find more strains for outdoors under feminised outdoor seeds. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Flavour of Roxanne
According to the strain description, Roxanne gives off a sweet, fruity scent with a hint of earth and pine – pleasant and intense. The flavour is described as complex: sweet fruit, earthy notes as well as a little pepper and wood. Individual terpenes are not listed, and the manufacturer does not give a lab terpene profile. The effect is described as strong and calming, but it can also be euphoric and creatively stimulating; the strain is recommended for the evening. The THC content is only given as "very high"; a figure is missing. The description is therefore aimed at experienced consumers and advises beginners against it. Feel your way in with small amounts – how intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
Note: Effect information is based on manufacturer data and user experience and does not constitute medical advice.
