Manufacturer Information
Genetics & Origin of Wedding Cookies
For Wedding Cookies, Original Sensible Seeds has brought together two well-known names from the US West Coast: Wedding Cake and Do-Si-Dos OG. According to the breeder, the family tree contains Girl Scout Cookies, Cherry Pie and Colorado Ghost OG. The ratio is 70% Indica and 30% Sativa, the THC content 28%; the manufacturer does not state a CBD value. It describes very resinous flowers that look glazed. The seeds are feminised and photoperiod, so flowering only begins after the light cycle is switched to 12/12. If you would like to grow a line from the family tree on its own, you will find Girl Scout Cookies from the same breeder in our range; a Wedding Cake is available, for example, as Wedding Cake by Barney's Farm.
Who Is Wedding Cookies For?
Wedding Cookies is a very potent, resinous Indica hybrid with a two-phase effect. It suits:
- Fans of Cookies and Cake genetics from the US West Coast
- Consumers with tolerance who know what to make of 28% THC
- Indoor growers with space for plants 100 to 160 cm tall
- Outdoor gardeners who can accommodate medium-sized to large plants
- Lovers of earthy Cookies aromas with a citrus note
Because of its very high THC content, Wedding Cookies is less suitable for occasional consumers and as a light strain for now and then. You can find more Indica-dominant strains from the feminised range under Indica strains.
Growing Wedding Cookies: Indoor & Outdoor
Indoor Growing
Indoors, according to Original Sensible Seeds, Wedding Cookies flowers for 60 to 70 days and reaches 100 to 160 cm. On yield, the manufacturer is not consistent: the data sheet states 700 g/m², while elsewhere it speaks of up to about 600 g/m². To be on the safe side, plan with the lower value. The flowers become very resinous and heavy; a net spreads the shoots and takes weight off them. Strong air circulation and low humidity in the final weeks protect the dense flowers. An activated carbon filter helps against the strong smell. You will find the basics on climate and training in the Growpedia.
Outdoor Growing
Outdoors, according to the breeder, medium-sized to large plants develop; it gives the height as 130 to 180 cm. The yield is about 800 g per plant, and under optimal conditions 1 kg is achievable, according to the manufacturer. Original Sensible Seeds does not give a harvest date for outdoor growing. Choose a sunny, airy spot and support the heavy shoots in good time. Only grow where it is legal to do so.
Effect, Aroma & Terpenes of Wedding Cookies
As the dominant terpene, Original Sensible Seeds names limonene, along with caryophyllene, linalool and myrcene. The breeder describes the aroma as strong, with an earthy Cookies character and a light citrus note. By its account, the effect runs in two phases: first comes a strong, uplifting euphoria with a clear head, then the Indica side asserts itself and brings pronounced physical relaxation. The manufacturer attributes this to the high THC content of 28%. That is a level at which even practised consumers should start small. How intense the effect is depends on dose and individual tolerance.
